It's ideal to begin training when your dog is a puppy, around 8-9 weeks old, to help establish good behaviors early on. However, dogs of any age can learn new skills.

We work with all dog breeds, from small to large, and cater our training methods to fit each dog's specific temperament and needs.

Training varies depending on the dog's breed, age, and the goals for your dog. Basic obedience training can take a few weeks to a few months, but it is good to continue to teach your dog new things!

Consistent, short training sessions each day are more effective than infrequent, longer sessions. Aim for 2-3 minutes of training, 1-3 times a day. In time you can increase the duration and frequency of your training sessions

We recommend you use treats/food to teach new behaviors, this will ensure success! But we understand not every dog is food motivated so you can use a toy or affection to reward. In the future we can phase out the frequency of our rewards. At BMSK9T we can help you find what works best for your dog.

You can enroll by first setting up a consultation. To do this you can contact us directly through our website, by phone or instagram. At the consultation we'll discuss your dog's needs and help you choose the best training program.

Yes, we provide virtual training sessions that allow you to work with a professional trainer from the comfort of your home.

No, we only offer training sessions at our facility located at 78 Winham Ave, Staten Island, NY 10306. Removing your dog from their environment will set you and your dog up for the most success!

You will receive an email 24-hours as well as a text message 2-hours prior to your class. We have a flexible cancellation policy, allowing you to reschedule sessions with advance notice. If you are cancelling no later then 1-hour from your session you will be able to reschedule that session. If you are cancelling within the hour of the session you will lose that class.

Bring your dog's favorite treats, a 4-6 foot fixed leash (non-retractible or bungee), and any necessary training tools like a clicker. If you are unsure of what to bring you can contact us and we would be more than happy to help!
